Snowdonia Mountaineering - Rory Shaw

  Rock Climbing CV

I am lucky enough to live within a stones throw of the best mountain walking, scrambling and rock climbing in the UK. I like nothing better than a day out in the hills or a climb in the sun. I came to North Wales originally for University in Bangor and I have never left. Despite enjoying my course in Environmental Science and achieving a 1st I realised that my passion, energy and enjoyment lay in mountaineering. I get a great buzz out of introducing people to climbing and the beauty of Snowdonia and North Wales. My passion for climbing has taken me across the UK and the globe - New Zealand, Europe and most recently the USA.

I hold the Mountaineering Instructors Award (MIA), which is the highest qualification for summer mountaineering in the UK.
